Just subscribed to tidal to test out my ifi zen dac with true bit-perfect mode. Everybody's experience is going to vary and I guess I had a real high expectation bias given the price and hype. MQA studio verified tracks do sound better to me then amazon hd 16/44.1 files. One poster commented tidal is less fatiguing.Īnd I guess the other deciding factor is the specific tracks you are listening to and what masters are on each service like other posters have commented. But amazon has more clarity, better imaging and usually better soundstage imo. Either by sound signatures where Tidal usually has more bass, sounds warmer and fuller. I guess it all comes down to personal preference really. Subreddit's theme is /r/Minimaluminiumalism.
